Last weekend my family and I stayed at Hotel Cafe Royal in the very heart of London… And unforgettable staycation that was hard to capture in photos and words, but here goes…
My Birthday Dinner at The Kensington Hotel
Time flies, doesn’t it! I can’t believe that we are already in August – which also means, that this lioness is celebrating her birthday… This year, Frenchie and I had decided, that we wanted to have a date-night on my birthday (without our wonderful, but very “busy” little 3-year old daughter) The Kensington Hotel in London has always been a favourite of mine, so that’s where we went!

Friday out with Clara and my mother! I can’t remember the last time, when the three of us went out together on a real “girls-day-out!” Obviously there had to be Afternoon Tea involved, as we are all big fans of this lovely British food tradition – and this time we were going to Knightsbridge for a cosy and wonderful afternoon at The Egerton House Hotel

Music – The Strongest Form of Magic!
Clara has always been very fond of music. I sang to her, when I was still pregnant – and played classical music, so she could “listen”, while growing beautiful and strong in my womb. It has actually been proven that, in the third trimester, an unborn baby can recognise her mother’s voice, her native language and even begin to remember word patterns and rhymes!
Luxurious Pink Afternoon Tea at Adam Handling Chelsea
“Oh wow – are you going to Adam Handling Chelsea? I am so jealous!” The lady at the reception at Maggie and Rose Nursery looked at me with big eyes, when I came in with my little Clara all dressed up and ready to go. “Yes, I am! Do you know it? It is my first time visiting!.” She knew it, as she used to work in the Knightsbridge area, and it was clear, that I was in for a treat!
A Family Treat at the London Marriott County Hall Hotel
Staycation… such a popular choice these days! And now I know why!
To be honest, I have never experienced a staycation before. Why stay at a hotel, when your home is 20 mins drive away? I will tell you why! It is an amazing opportunity to get away from it all without the travel-hassle! You basically take time off from work and daily chores and instead spending quality time with your family (in very luxurious surroundings!) Yay!
