When the weather is grey and rainy, there is nothing better than jumping on an airplane to go on a short-break holiday somewhere nice and sunny, and this is exactly what Clara, my mother and I did a couple of weeks ago. We went to Cyprus with Jet2
Let’s go! We went to London Stansted Airport, where we took a flight directly to Larnaca, Cyprus
I have been to Cyprus before, but it was in another part of the island, so I was just as excited as Clara and my mother to go to Limassol and stay at the very popular St. Raphael Resort
St Raphael Resort really is a beautiful hotel. We only had a 55 mins transfer time by bus before arriving, so it was easy getting there
Check it out! St Raphael Resort has four outdoor pools including two children’s pools and pool with children’s section (freshwater)l. The loungers are incredibly comfortable and the towels are free
Can you imagine waking up to this! It surely beats a rainy day in London, doesn’t it
St Raphael Resort is a great place for both adults and children. It has two bars including a swim-up bar and piano bar serving a range of local and international drinks. There are seven restaurants including two buffet restaurants (with live music) and five à la carte restaurants, serving a range of local, Italian and Thai cuisine. The Resort is about 12km from Limassol Old Town, which is not too far. We did however decide to go all-inclusive as the food here is really lovely and Clara had such a great time at the Kids Club’s evening disco, so she wanted to stay
The Happy Bee Kids Club at St Raphael Resort really is pretty amazing. Especially if you only have one child like we do…
Clara quickly found a new friend and the girls had an amazing time in each others company
Fun in the sun…
One of the highlights at this hotel is the food! There was a lovely buffet for lunch or you could choose to eat at the Splash cafe where they were serving delicious food…
– and desserts bigger than Clara’s head! No wonder she is smiling. She might have had to share this one though!
St Raphael Resort also have a spacious playground and for
Welcome to the beach! Yes, there is also a beachfront here where you can enjoy relaxing on a lounge chair or playing in the sand with your little ones… (and a Costa Coffee just next door!)
If the water outside gets a bit cold, there’s a solution for that too. Just walk into the indoor swimming pool. Here you will also find a fantastic spa with sauna, steam room, whirlpool and massage treatments (min, age 16 years for the spa)
Our room was lovely and very spacious… (with an extra bed for Clara). What I really loved was the service. We always had fresh bottled water and they also filled up the mini-bar as we were all-inclusive
– and we had a small balcony where we could enjoy the sun going down over the sea…
Pure bliss. Clara was so happy here – and this makes me happy!
All-inclusive meant as many Aperol Spritz as you wanted. Don’t mind if I do….
The breakfast buffet and lunch buffet was amazing. It was hard to take photos because there was SO much food!
The staff were really attentive and very good at making sure that nothing was missing. I must say I was really impressed with how delicious and clean it all looked (you don’t always get that with a buffet!)
A chocolate fountain… Do you think Clara was excited when she saw it!
Here are a few other examples of what we were served…
Clara and her Grandmother…
Besides what I am showing here there were SO much more food to enjoy. Every evening there was a new theme, so we enjoyed Italian, Greek, Farmer’s and International food, As mentioned, there are also other restaurants at St. Raphael Resort, but as they were outdoors and it was a bit windy in the evening, we decided to stay inside and enjoy the amazing buffet
If you live close to Limassol, like we did, it might be worth it to take a look around in the old town of Limassol
Limassol is a town that hugs the shore on Cyprus’ south coast. Here you can find many different shops. We loved the charming old quarter and the marina
We had a lovely time in Limassol and enjoyed the charming mix of old and new. (This is the Old Port Exhibition Centre)
I suggest spending a full day here to make sure, you get to see everything and also do a little bit of shopping for organic soaps, sweet treats, flavoured nuts (so good), donkey milk products and maybe a sea sponge or two!
I really enjoyed having my mother and Clara with me on our trip with Jet2Holidays to Cyprus…
We stayed for 5 nights, which I think was just perfect for what we wanted. The weather was absolutely amazing and we felt really good taken care of. The staff at the hotel speaks English really well, they were very friendly and warm and they were very sweet to Clara. One of the ladies at the “Splash’ cafe even came to our sun loungers and took Clara’s hand up to the bar, where there was a dessert ready for her. How sweet is this! It’s the little things that counts – and they know this at St. Raphael Resort. Thank you for a wonderful holiday
We were invited to Cyprus by Jet2Holidays . All opinions are as always my own
