TRAVEL
“The hills are alive…” These are a few of my favourite things at Schloss Leopoldskron
So I just returned from the most breathtaking holiday ever – and I really don’t know where to start! But as Maria Von Trapp so beautifully sang: “Let’s start from the very beginning. A very good place to start. When you read you begin with ABC, when you sing you begin with do-re-mi”
Exploring France’s basque country – Andernos-Les-Bains
After a few lovely days in Biarritz, Frenchie and I decided, that it was time to move on. There are SO many beautiful little towns to visit in Southwestern France, so it can be difficult to decide. However Frenchie’s parents are in love with Andernos-Les-Bains and they offered to let us stay at their holiday residence, so that’s where we went! (Furthermore Andernos is famously know for its charming oyster harbour – another reason to go!)
Exploring France’s basque country – Biarritz part II
After a wonderful day of enjoying the views of the Atlantic ocean and getting to know beautiful Biarritz better, Frenchie and I decided that it was time to have a look at the shopping possibilities in this magnificint French seaside town
Exploring France’s basque country – Biarritz part I
I have a confession to make! I have cheated! I have cheated on my beloved city London, because I fell… I fell head over heels in love with a beautiful and elegant seaside town on southwestern France’s Basque coast. The town is called Biarritz! You might have heard about it, and if not – now is the time! (Warning – you might get tempted to cheat too!)
Where would you go if you had only one week in London?
“What would you do if you had only one week in London and really want to get the best of this city?” These are questions, I often get, when I have visitors over. London is such a big and adventurous city with so many possibilities. Something is always going on here… It can be expensive, yes – but you can also have lots of fun without spending all your savings.
Bonjour, Bordeaux!
This weekend Frenchie and I went to Bordeaux! In spite of having a massive cold, I was really excited to go. I’m quite a Francophile! I mean… what’s not to love? The food is amazing, the wine is out of this world, the language is the most beautiful in the world – and the men are… (well, Im living with one, so you know what I mean!)
