Summertime in London! It has been SO hot the last couple of days – and we are in the middle of moving to Chiswick! If there was one thing, Frenchie and I needed, it was a break from moving boxes and furniture all over the place! So when we were invited to the gorgeous Latin-American top-trendy restaurant Zuaya in High Street Kensington, we were more than ready to go! Yes, please!
Welcome to Zuaya – a hidden gem and exotic Latin American restaurant with a wow factor that seduces your senses
Whether you are looking to relax and indulge over cocktails in the stunning marble bar or wish to be taken on an exciting culinary journey with fresh, exotic and inventive Latin American (Brazilian, Peruvian & Mexican) tapas, you will have a great experience…
Zuaya has been designed as a tropical paradise with vibrant foliage, luxe furniture and quirky curiosities – I fell in love the minute, I entered! You can choose to sit outside, upstairs or downstairs…
Strike a pose! Got to love the cheerful waiters at this place! We had top-service all the way!
Time for cocktails…
“From London to Lima” – a delicious and fresh signature cocktail: Pisco, Falernum, Lime juice, Egg white and Agave syrup Highly addictive!
A combination of beautifully presented dishes started to roll out onto our table from land and sea. I am a big fan of tapas, so this was just, what I was hoping for
This is the purple Lamb Taco… The ‘tortilla’ was as thin and pliable as a crepe and filled with slowly-braised lamb shank – a little piece of heaven and a must-try!
But honestly – there wasn’t a dish, that I didn’t like! The food here is perfect for a hot summer night. It is so fresh, light and the flavours are exotic and not to be found just anywhere!
Raspberry Gazpacho with feta and pistachio – a better version than the classic Spanish soup, if you ask me! I just wish there would have been more! It was amazing!
A delicious little treat, that I still dream about: Italian burrata on Peruvian corn cake!
Frenchie’s favourite – gorgeous, grilled octopus with baked, sweet potato and fresh and tasty quinoa salad
Nom, nom, nom, nom …. I did NOT want to share my crispy Cassava with anyone! They were warm and crunchy – and that dipping sauce was out of this world
The crispy cassava were served with succulent, Iberian pork, a creamy butternut squash purée and mojo verde! I don’t think I have ever had a more delicious piece of pork! It was so tender and juicy! Perfection
Cheers for the perfect date night!
New on the menu…
A lovely touch of sweetness… Flan Dulce de Leche
– and delicious Creme Brûlée with passion fruit (which made this classic dessert more fresh, juicy and “summery” )
We had a lovely time at Zuaya… If you are looking for the perfect place with a wow-factor to go on a date, this is it! We will for sure be back!
I would love to thank Zuaya for a marvellous dining experience! All opinions are as always my own!
