Being a family travel blogger, I’ve visited a lot of family-friendly hotels! There is nothing worse that taking your little one to a place, where you can feel, that people are annoyed by the presence of “Curious George.”  This was certainly not the case at Conrad London St. James, where my family and I spent a wonderful weekend in the beginning of October.

Conrad London St James is placed in the very heart of London and only 5 mins walk from some of the most popular London landmarks – another bonus, when bringing little ones!

It didn’t take long before Clara realised, that she was the star of the weekend! (and she loved it)

All of the staff of Conrad London St James were so welcoming and warm. This is definitely a family friendly hotel

and while Clara was the centre of attention in the lobby, Frenchie and I enjoyed a glass of Prosecco!

“Mummy, I love my dress, but there’s something missing” (Clara’s inner Cinderella was coming out)

Not to worry! Conrad London St. James knows what Clara loves! When we entered our spacious executive room, there was a lady inside holding up this gorgeous Elsa (from “Frozen”) dress. You should have seen Clara’s face! “Are you my fairy Godmother?”

 – With accessorise and macarons of course!

“Let it goooooo”

So much candy, so little time! (I should probably help her out eating it!)

Bonus-info: Inspired by the hotel’s location on 22-28 Broadway and the anticipated return of the latest shows on West End this May, Conrad London St. James is launching a “Family Stay on London’s Broadway” experience.Families are spoiled for choice when it comes to 2021 West End Theatre shows including Cinderella, Frozen and the Lion King. Welcoming children of all ages, Conrad London St. James arranges plenty of fun Broadway themed activities in and around the hotel to make it a memorably family experience. We love it!

Clara was greeted at reception with a VIP sticker  which allowed her to get milkshakes or ice cream free of charge from the Blue Boar Pub or The Hedgerow Cocktail bar during her stay. We also loved the adorable London bedding – another wonderful idea that ensures that little ones will treasure their memory of London

The glamping tent was a hit as well! Clara immediately “moved in” and started tugging in her dolls for a little nap! Really sweet. (The teepee is part of The Glamping Experience at Conrad London St James)

Time for ice cream at The Hedgerow Bar! Little Miss VIP knew exactly what she wanted…

A pink ice cream with chocolate! So that is what she had! Just brilliant! Meanwhile Frenchie was having a serious look at the cocktail menu that offered so many amazing drinks, that it was hard to choose

Stunning bar don’t you think? Loving the interior!

Happy Frenchie enjoying a pre-drink before dinner

“The House Always Wins” is just one of the amazing art pieces you will find at Conrad London St. James. This one merges a world of comicon characters from film, comic art, and popular culture, with the House of Commons just around the corner. It has everyone from Batman and King Kong to Shrek and Henry J. Watermoose III from Monsters Inc, as the Speaker. It was created by UK based artists, Evil Ed and Dan Robotic. A real scene stealer if you ask me! Everyone stopped and starred! We were mesmerised

Welcome to The Blue Boar Pub inside Conrad London St. James – a sophisticated and modern take on a classic English pub. What I love about this place, is that it is super stylish yet cosy! The perfect combination! Oh, and did I mention that the food is superb!

Relaxed and fun atmosphere! And there was a kids menu as well!

When I told the waitress that I loved Pouilly Fuisse, she looked at me with a big smile and said “No problem” That evening Clara wasn’t the only princess at the hotel! I was in my happy place

Having a little love affair with the very tender sirloin steak! Us vikings love our meat!

Frenchie went for the most classic dish of them all “Fish and Chips” It does look really good, doesn’t it?

Cosys times in our biiiiiig bed! I just love the hour bedfore bedtime, where Clara and I are reading stories and playing with her dolls!

 – and just before we all went to sleep, Clara and her daddy enjoyed a bit of stargazing from the glamping tent!

Good morning! Love a good breakfast? I most certainly do – and at Conrad London St. James you can have it all….

If there is one thing, I will really miss at this place (well, I will miss a lot), it is this extremely delicious self service buffet covering all the standards, (from fruit salad to full English via waffles) as well as an à la carte menu. We ordered an omelette and avocado with poached eggs on toast on the side… I could barely walk, when I was done. It was so good – and I certainly didn’t need any lunch that day

Time for a walk after all that food…

Conrad London St. James is located in the former Queen Anne’s Chambers. The 19th-century building is less than a mile from Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, The London Eye and Buckingham Palace. In other words – many iconic landmarks are just around the corner!

Behind every successful woman… Oh well, Winston. You did pretty good yourself!

The London Eye. A must-see when visiting London

We ended our stay in Westminster with a river cruise kindly gifted by City Cruises

Clara was a little bit tired after a busy weekend playing Elsa! But she woke up and enjoyed seeing London from The River Thames

We chose to get the 24h river pass. It’ is an all-day hop on, hop off Thames ticket offering unlimited access to the river for 24 hours. You can hop on and hop off at any one of four piers, with open passage on any City Cruises sightseeing boats for a full day spent exploring the sights of the Thames.  It was great fun and a lovely way to relax while doing a bit of sightseeing

We would like to thank Conrad London St. James for the most wonderful weekend! We were invited as guests but all opinions are as always my own
