As the Summer sighs its last and the days begin to shorten, it’s natural to get a little bit glum. Winter is on its way, leaves are turning, you begin to notice that more people are wearing jackets, pedestrians scuttle to nearby taxis rather than walk – and it’s increasingly difficult to justify wearing flip flops! Visiting Hitler’s Eagle’s Nest in Berchtesgaden
One of the places you simply have to visit, when you are in the Bavarian Alps is Kehlsteinhaus, a.k.a. the Eagle’s Nest! Kehlsteinhaus was built under the rule of the National Socialists as a gift for Adolf Hitler to mark his 50th birthday.
