Travelling as a family can sometimes feel as a balancing act… Finding a place that truly caters to adults and kids isn’t always easy. This is exactly why our recent trip with Club Med Seychelles felt so special. We have never travelled with Club Med before, but definitely heard the most amazing things, so we were thrilled for this very special invite, which took place during Christmas (Yes, we celebrated Christmas at The Seychelles – and it was even better than it sounds!)

Heathrow Airport… We could hardly believe that this was the day, where we were going to The Seychelles!

Extra room for legs… There is no other way, when you are related to giraffes…

From the moment we arrived (by a smaller boat from the airport – so cool), it was clear that this was more than just a beach holiday…

The warm welcome from the staff set the tone for the rest of our stay – super friendly, relaxed and genuinely happy to have families there. Clara was so excited to see a lot of other children and more than ready to start her holiday

Bonus-info: Nestled on the island of Sainte Anne, Club Med Seychelles is surrounded by turquoise waters, lush greenery and postcard perfect beaches. The setting alone immediately put us in vacation mode. Everything was thoughtfully designed to blend into nature while still still offering comfort and luxury

Let us go to our suite, YAY!

Speaking of comfort and luxury… This was our family suite! Some pictures say more than a 1000 words!
One of the highlights was without doubt our Family suite with private pool. It wasn’t just a place to sleep – it became our personal retreat. The suite was so spacious and giving us plenty of room to spread out

The private pool was a game-changer. Clara loved spending time splashing about with her own floaties. For us as parents. it was equally special as there was no rush to secure sun loungers or keeping an eye out for Clara in a busy pool (it wasn’t too busy while we were there, but it really is a luxury having our own pool – something we have never tried before)

Sleeping Beauty…
After busy days filled with activities, coming back to our own serene space felt like a small sanctuary. It was the perfect blend of hotel comfort and “home away from home”

As parents, one of the biggest joys of this trip was seeing how much Clara loved the Kids’ Club. She just couldn’t wait to join in. The activities were perfectly suited to her age, mixing play, creativity, and outdoor fun – and she met a very special friend, who she will be seeing soon again, when we go to Bordeaux. What is more than worth mentioning is the incredible staff. They were so kind, energetic, and incredibly attentive. Knowing that Clara was happy, engaged, and well cared for allowed French and I to relax and truly enjoy our own time—something that doesn’t always happen on family vacations

What truly made this trip unforgettable was how easy it was to enjoy quality time together. Without worrying about planning, schedules, or logistics, we could simply focus on being present…

Well, this is new! And may I just say – incredibly awesome!

Spending Christmas at Club Med Seychelles was an experience we will never forget!
The resort went above and beyond to create a festive, joyful atmosphere while still embracing the relaxed island vibe. There were beautiful decorations throughout the resort and a sense of excitement that Clara absolutely loved. The Christmas celebrations included special events for the kids and festive entertainment. The highlight came when Santa arrived by boat, sailing in across the turquoise water to the cheers of excited children waiting on the beach (I almost cried because is was so sweet) The look on Clara’s face we will treasure forever

Tapas and entertainment. Life is good at The Seychelles…

The food deserves a special mention because it was consistently excellent. Each meal offered a wide variety of fresh, flavorful options, from international favorites to dishes inspired by local cuisine. Clara always found something she loved, while we enjoyed exploring new flavors and beautifully prepared meals. Dining never felt repetitive, and every meal felt like part of the experience rather than just a necessity.

There were two restaurants to choose from at the resort. This is from our very romantic evening at The Reef, where Frenchie and I were spoiled by all sorts of delicacies!

Want to explore a bit more? No problem!

If you stay at Club Med Seychelles there are plenty of opportunities to explore the surrounding areas or maybe go diving…
As none of us are divers, we decided to book a trip to beautiful Moyenne Island. Once lovingly restored by Brendon Grimshaw and now part of a national park, this tiny island holds a powerful story of conservation. Walking its paths and meeting the giant tortoises that roam freely was a beautiful reminder of how nature thrives when it’s protected. I can warmly recommend this excursion, where we also got to see exotic fish from inside a submarine!

Speaking of tortoises, did you know that Club Med Seychelles have a few of their own. I believe this one is called Shakira

While Clara was happily enjoying the kids’ club, Frenchie and I took time to visit the Club Med Spa by Cinq Mondes. The couples massage was wonderful, the atmosphere serene and it felt like a true escape within an already beautiful destination. It was the perfect way to recharge before going back home to London

Happy days…

Our Christmas stay at Club Med Seychelles exceeded all expectations. Between the breathtaking settings, the magical holiday celebrations, the incredible food, endless activities, the peaceful spa, the exceptional kid’s club and the luxury of our family suite with a private pool, it was a holiday that truly worked for everyone. If you are dreaming of a family getaway, that you and your children will never forget, this is one destination that we can whole heartedly recommend and will cherish forever…
