And so we meet again! I love dining at new places, but I think I love going back to place, where I know, that the food is spectacular is even better! Galvin at Windows is exactly that… a place, that I can’t wait to visit over and over again

This time Frenchie and I had been invited to try out the new Afternoon Tea experience at 10 Degrees – the Galvin at Windows bar with a breathtaking 360-degree panoramic view of London!

Bonus-info: Galvin at Windows is the incredibly successful haute cuisine restaurant on the 28th floor of the London Hilton on Park Lane! Since opening in May 2006, this classy restaurant and bar has offered guests stunning views across the capital including the skyscrapers of the City and Canary Wharf, the London Eye, Hyde Park, Buckingham Palace and Wembley Stadium. This is a must visit, if you are in London!

Did you know that 10 Degrees is named after the golden hour when the setting sun creates a dusky glow over the city of London? I absolutely love the sophisticated mix of gold, burnt yellow and verdant hues which really accentuate the warm glow given off when the sun fills the room. It was a rainy day, when we visited, but we could still enjoy the breathtaking views of London, while enjoying a glass of champagne

Champagne Afternoon Tea on a Saturday afternoon in London! Is there anything better? I think not! Frenchie loves this place, and he can be hard to please!

Bonus-info: The afternoon tea at 10 Degrees was supposed to be served in a bird cage which would be suspended from a tree branch at the side of the table –  something very new for the team! But due to the current situation some of the props had been removed… It did however not affect the flavours! These sandwiches were amazing and some of the best we have ever had! Seriously fresh!

A cheeky little partnership with Canton Tea to ensure the quality of the offering was of the highest quality. I had the Oolong Tea and it was so lovely (apparently one of the Queens favourites too. I would get on so well with the Queen, if we met!)

Oolong Tea is also known as the “Big Red Robe” and comes from the Wuyi Mountains of Fujian. It has deep, dark and charcoal- roasted cocoa notes

Oh hello, there! It might not have been a birdcage, but it was still a sight for sore eyes! 

Will you look at these creations! Head Chef Marc Hardiman had done it again! Green apple mousse, baked apple and cinnamon and Pumpkin and pecan pie

I honestly can not find the words to describe how amazing this little piece of paradise was! Out of this world! 

– and let’s not forget these little beauties – Valrhona chocolate gateaux opera… My favourites! 

An Afternoon Tea classic! Warm and freshly baked raisin and plain scones (served with Cornish clotted cream, strawberry preserve and fig preserve) They were seriously just fresh out of the oven. So delicious!

You can choose between 3 kinds of Afternoon Teas at 10 Degrees: Classic, Gin and Champagne Afternoon Tea! 

I know, that I keep repeating myself, but Galvin at Windows is a must- visit, if you are in London. It basically has it all. The service is top, the food is incredible, the bar is romantic and the views are jaw-dropping! So… Go, go, goooo!
